#FreePalestine
I had the opportunity to listen to Anwar Ibrahim's speech in the Palestine assembly earlier.
Firstly,
Let's momentarily set aside narrow local politics that burdens the heart. Let's momentarily set aside the tradition of name-dropping in his speech that may be annoying to some people.
But let's listen carefully to what PMX said.
For me, it is very clear.
Period.
Full of humanitarian emotions and reflects the sentiments of the majority of people in Malaysia today when it comes to Palestine.
There is no doubt in our support for Malaysia in the current Palestine-Israel conflict.
It may not be an exaggeration to say that with that speech, it was somewhat strong and not suited for a 'small' country like Malaysia.
Most importantly, when it is clearly mentioned, this issue is an ISLAM issue, a HUMANITY issue, without the need to conceal or apologize for bringing the narrative and clear connotation that Malaysia, as an Islamic country and a civilized country with humanitarian values, has two significant responsibilities in this issue, explaining Malaysia's response at this time.
Therefore, now that the PM has gone 'all-in', 'full speed', we, the Muslim people of Malaysia, have no reason not to firmly stand behind him, regardless of political affiliations.
Because whether we like it or not, we have to acknowledge and agree with him for now.. the future of the people of Gaza looks bleak, the massacres against them can be called 'inevitable', unavoidable. Therefore, they need our full solidarity, which we cannot give if we are still at odds with each other.
And it must be remembered, the statements made by PM-X undoubtedly have implications for Malaysia, both diplomatically and economically, so we must stand together. We have yet to know the responses of local stakeholders tomorrow.
Anyway, let us not be afraid, let us not be afraid, as PM-X said,
"Nashrun Min Allah wa Fathun Qarib."
What does it mean?
It means, "Victory from Allah and imminent triumph."
