Kapurung ala Mandar

Early in the morning, I received an invitation from Abang Iswadin to visit his house. He mentioned that we would be enjoying a dish called "kapurung ala Mandar" this time. Hehehe.

Upon arriving at his house, I had the opportunity to learn how to cook kapurung. By combining starch with small pieces of fish and vegetables, the taste was absolutely delicious. Being able to participate in the cooking process brought me immense satisfaction. We had a gathering with Abang Syaiful Romie, his wife, and family, as well as Abang Ridwan. The atmosphere became lively and cheerful.

It is only now that I realize the strong connection I have to the Mandar ethnicity. Many of my close friends, work colleagues, and neighbors are of Mandar descent. Perhaps, people think, it is my destiny to become part of the Mandar ethnic in the future.
