Gus Miftah, personally, I admire your sermons. Your honest, relaxed, and humorous style often delivers messages of goodness that are easily accepted by many. However, this time, allow me to offer a bit of feedback regarding the incident with the ice seller.

He is an elderly man who works hard to provide for his family. Even though it might have been meant as a joke, words like "stupid" directed at an older person seem inappropriate. Hopefully, this can serve as a reminder for all of us to be more mindful of our words, especially when joking.

That said, I believe every event carries its own lessons. From this incident, the ice seller's livelihood has actually increased as many people came to support him. Perhaps this is Allah’s way of elevating his status in unexpected ways.

May Gus Miftah continue to benefit the community with softer words in the future, without losing the honesty and strength of your messages. I remain supportive of your inspiring and entertaining da’wah, as long as it does not bluntly demean others.
