NU Malaysia Futsal Cup 2024
Yesterday, I received news about the celebration of the NU Special Branch in Malaysia's anniversary, which was being marked in a unique way—through a Futsal tournament. This event is organised by Sarbumusi Malaysia and PCI Pagar Nusa Malaysia. A total of 40 teams from various Indonesian communities in Malaysia are participating in the tournament. Some of the teams that caught my attention include the PCINU Malaysia Futsal Team, the Santri Pondok An Nahdhoh Futsal Team, KBRI, and even the UTKL Student Forum has sent a team.
The purpose of this event, besides commemorating the NU anniversary, was to strengthen the bonds of friendship among Indonesians living abroad. I hope the tournament runs smoothly and fosters stronger connections among the participants. I also agree that activities like this are crucial for maintaining health, which in turn will lead to progress and achievements for the nation.
Typically, the NU anniversary celebrations were filled with activities such as Istighosah, Tahlilan, and religious lectures. However, this time, they decided to play Futsal. I am interested in joining, but unfortunately, I’m not very good at playing.
On another note, I was getting closer to IPMI Port Klang, although my time in Peninsular Malaysia was becoming increasingly limited. Perhaps there would be a time when I could participate more actively in events like this.
