Sharing an Experience
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to chat with a friendly and pleasant police officer. His first question was, "How long have you been in the Peninsula?" I responded with a smile, "Since 2016."
He then asked, "Where do you work and who do you live with?" I explained, "I work at Port Klang and currently live with my brother, Mr. Nordin." We had a long conversation about life, and I introduced my brother, Azizul, who was with me at the time. Interestingly, the two officers were very open and easy to talk to.
The conversation became deeper when he found out I was born in Tawau, Sabah. We shared stories and life experiences, and even though there were some things I didn’t know, our conversation remained engaging and meaningful. I felt we were about the same age, though our life journeys were different.
What left the greatest impression was his words before we parted, "If we meet again somewhere, just wave." It made both my brother Azizul and I smile, as it was the first time we had encountered such a friendly police officer. Even though it was a brief meeting, it felt like we were old friends.
