"Allah’s Mathematics Differs from Human Calculations"

This past Friday, I attended the inauguration ceremony of the new board of Masjid Al Nur - Tamalanrea. For the past five months, this mosque has become my spiritual sanctuary since returning from abroad.

Interestingly, although there are several mosques closer to my residence, I have always felt a deeper, almost inexplicable connection to this particular mosque. The atmosphere here is different—warm, inclusive, and deeply comforting.

It was only during the recent event that I discovered how well-structured and thoroughly organized the mosque's administration truly is. What impressed me the most, however, is their weekly initiative called “Jumat Berkah” (Blessed Friday). Every Friday, following the congregational prayer, the mosque distributes lunch to all attendees. These meals are not prepared by professional caterers but by local community members—ranging from students and construction workers to scavengers who live around the area.

What is even more astonishing is the scale of the operation. Each week, over 500 meals are distributed, yet the total expenditure ranges only between IDR 300,000 to 500,000—equivalent to approximately MYR 90 to 150. Initially, I found it difficult to comprehend how such a modest budget could suffice.

But the answer lies in something beyond human logic: sincerity and divine blessing. The mosque is not only managed with efficiency and order, but it is also infused with a spirit of communal solidarity and genuine compassion.

From this humble mosque, I have learned a profound lesson: when our intentions are pure and our efforts are directed toward goodness, God will provide—even in ways that defy rational understanding.

May this story serve as a reminder to us all that even the smallest acts of contribution, when carried out with sincerity and unity, can lead to extraordinary impact.
