National Education Day 2025: A Mirror for Us All
The commemoration of National Education Day 2025 brought two reflective moments for me.
First, as is often the case, traffic congestion filled both sides of the road. I initially thought such a situation occurred only during Labor Day. However, I noticed many people wearing the Korpri uniform today—a symbol of the state's presence in commemorating this significant occasion.
Second, and more profoundly unsettling, is our collective attitude toward education itself. As a food delivery worker, I am often looked down upon, as if I lack education or am somehow unworthy. In truth, education is not merely about degrees or social standing, but about how we treat one another.
I have come to realize that the more educated a person becomes, the more humility they should possess—much like a ripe stalk of rice that bows lower as it grows heavier. Sadly, what I frequently encounter is the opposite: people using their educational status to belittle others based on occupation or background.
Ultimately, true education is reflected in our character, manners, and ethics.
