Happy Chinese New Year
Today, I would like to reflect on the meaning and essence of the Chinese New Year celebration. There is an interesting detail that is often misunderstood: the phrase "Gong xi fa cai" does not mean "Happy New Year" but rather "Congratulations and may you prosper." To convey "Happy New Year," the correct expression is "Xin nian kuai le."
May this Year of the Snake bring joy, prosperity, and abundant happiness, especially as families gather to spend meaningful time together. The Chinese New Year serves as a reminder of the significance of family values, harmony, and success in life.
As part of a multicultural society, I would like to extend my warmest wishes for a Happy Chinese New Year to everyone celebrating, especially the Chinese community. May this festive season be filled with joy and abundant blessings.
